TOPOGRAPHIC SURVEYS

We have been involved from the instigation to completion of numerous major civil engineering products, while not forgetting the smaller surveys such as garden surveys.

Our competent survey teams, who are provided with the latest state of the art equipment (G.P.S., robotic total station, conventional EDM's and the latest in 3D laser scanners), perform all topographical surveys within our clients’ timeframe. A full list of instrumentation can be provided on request.

All survey data is recorded using a predetermined coding system and later transferred onto computer for analysis. This coding system reduces the amount of post-processing time, ultimately reducing the delay between data collection and final drawing. The control observations are processed by a combination of rigorous traverse adjustment and a Bowditch adjustment to obtain the best results.

Where appropriate it may be decided to conduct the survey using our 3D scanner. This method allows much more detailed surveys delivered to our clients, and vastly reduces the amount of site time required and can, for example, be used to reduce costs associated with the use of traffic management or in situations where maintaining a safe distance from the subject is required.
