COMPUTER AIDED DESIGN (CAD)

There is no point in having high precision equipment if you have not got the software and expertise to back it up. Our experienced CAD department uses the latest software and high specification PC's to produce all of our models and drawings, quickly and accurately. Working closely with the scanning and survey crews, our CAD operators produce products of the highest quality, rigorously checked for accuracy and consistency. We are committed to keeping up to date with the latest software, hardware and processing techniques and believe in training our teams and sharing best practice regularly.

The following is a list of the software we use, and what we use it for.

N4ce - used to process the raw survey data collected by the total stations. 3D models, moss files, cross sections and more can be produced, and from here the final data is output into CAD for final modelling and presentation.

Measured Building Software - used to create the accurate building surveys. It can be used for both floorplan and elevation surveys. By combining this specialist software and a palm top computer the data can be collected in real time graphical format, for fast accurate results.

AutoCAD - used to produce our final product. This powerful package is used to display and plot all our surveys. It is also used in design and modelling applications in order to produce exactly what our clients ask for.

Cyclone - used to bring all the point cloud data together accurately and export into our modelling packages.

Rhino 3D and Pointools - a powerful 3D modelling application with plugins to produce high quality rendered 3D models, imagery and animation. It can output in a variety of formats including dxf and dwg for AutoCAD
